Tenuta Cucco
Tenuta Cucco began as a winery in the 1960, producing Barolo at Serralunga d’Alba for over fifty years. Towards the end of 2015 the Rossi Cairo family, -who already owned and operated the Demeter-certified organic and biodynamic winery La Raia in the Gavi region, –acquired the estate. Here they produce wines in the classic Langhe tradition: Nebbiolo, Chardonnay, Dolcetto, Barbera.
They sustain and increase the rich biodiversity of these hills, a UNESCO heritage site, -promoting an agriculture that is not only sustainable but that also preserves the vitality of the soil for future generations to enjoy.
Their wines have received prestigious world awards and recognitions, and exceptional scores by critics.
“At Tenuta Cucco my family has chosen to produce authentic Barolo wines, the protagonists of an extraordinary history, while nurturing the uniqueness of the fragile environment that brings them to life. This is the challenge I have set for myself.” — Piero Rossi Cairo
