La Vigna di Sarah
Winemaker and owner Sarah Dei Tos considers organic farming and winemaking “The only possible path for the sustainability of the territory, for our health and for the quality of the finished product. ”
La Vigna di Sarah is a young and sparkling wine-producing company that reflects a land of thousands of colors and scents, brushed by the sun and wind. In the natural amphitheater that opens between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, La Vigna di Sarah produces a unique organic prosecco, fresh and fruity, with the Charmat method.
Grappoli di Luna Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG is the first prosecco using grapes harvested in the full moon nights at the end of August or beginning of September. By using the cooler temperatures to slow down the fermentation pro- cess of freshly harvested grapes, Sarah wants to better preserve the aromatic fragrances of the Glera grape. She also likes the idea that the grapes retain the energy conveyed by the full moon.
The products of La Vigna Di Sarah are certified organic by ValorItalia, Certificate of Conformity number ITBIO015-S15-19/56-1.
The Wines
Borgo Luna is a pleasant, everyday Prosecco—light and easy to drink. At the nose there is fruit and citrus, and on the palate it is fresh and crisp with fine bubbles that are not overwhelming.
This is a very good and typical Prosecco, made with organic grapes coming from a single vineyard (Rive di Cozzuolo). It is pleasant and creamy on the palate, without being overly sweet. It is smoother than most other Proseccos, with many bubbles and it is not crisp. Pear and peach, honey and flowers; a note of paprika adds a little more complexity.
Grappoli di Luna Extra Brut Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG 2021
This wine is made with grapes harvested under the full moon. The immediate scent of pear makes it a quintessential Prosecco, with honeysuckle and white flowers, acacia and yellow peach. On the palate it is creamy and crisp, not very long but just as persistent as you would expect from a Prosecco.
